The Christmas weekend is upon us (at last!), and so are the final days of this decade.

Christmas films made between 2000-2009 have not proven particularly innovative, and we bet when you choose a movie to watch today, it was produced before the millennium.  For with little exception, there has been a dearth of flying reindeer, angels getting their wings, sing-a-long musicals or quotable comedies in this decade.

Here’s a look back at the top film — or films, if there were a couple of good ones — from each year of the past decade, and here’s to a better crop of Christmas films in years to come.
