MYFOXNY.COM – When John F. Kennedy Airport finally reopened last night, the problems continued for some travelers trying to get into New York.  Some passengers were apparently stuck on planes on the runway of JFK for up to 12 hours on Monday and Tuesday.

Darius Van Demark contacted Fox 5 News from a plane. He said he had been sitting on the runway for almost 11 hours.  He says he arrived on a Cathay Pacific flight at 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening after a trip from Bangkok, Thailand that took 21 hours with flight changes.

He says the 777 was almost full.  The crew only had soup to serve passengers while they waited to be taken to a gate.
