The Navy captain accused of making raunchy videos — in an apparent effort to entertain his sailors — will lose his post, defense officials said Tuesday.
Captain Owen Honors will be relieved of command and replaced on the USS Enterprise, which is currently in Norfolk, Va., before the nuclear-powered ship deploys to the Middle East later this month.
The videos, which used homophobic slurs, mimicked masturbation and featured scenes of women showering together, were made and broadcast between 2006 and 2007 when Honors was the second in command of the USS Enterprise.
