Television personality Joan Rivers tweeted Wednesday that her Thursday “Fox and Friends” appearance has been canceled all thanks to her negative comments about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

@Joan_Rivers tweeted, “I was cancelled from Fox for saying Palin is ‘stupid and a threat.’ Wait till I REALLY shock them with Aretha Franklin is a bit chubby!” and “Outcome: DON’T PISS OFF SARAH PALIN. She’s apparently ‘very powerful,’ and is obviously still smarting from the end of her reality show.”

According to TheWrap, Rivers wasn’t canceled for criticizing Palin. In fact, “Fox and Friends” is trying to reschedule Rivers for an upcoming episode.

“Due to the volume of news topics tomorrow morning and a full show, our booker mistakenly canceled Joan’s appearance instead of re-scheduling her for Friday’s show,” Lauren Petterson, executive producer for “Fox and Friends,” told TheWrap in a statement. “We’re in the process of booking her on an upcoming show.”

Rivers told TMZ in a previous video interview, “I think Sarah Palin is a crazy woman. She should…get out of our face.”

When asked if people are correct in faulting Sarah Palin for last week’s Tucson shooting rampage, Rivers said, “They’re right…They’re right to blame Sarah Palin. Go look at her website…This woman is just stupid and a threat.”

When asked to define ‘blood libel,’ Rivers answered, “Sarah Palin.”
