For fashionistas and television fans alike, there is nothing more sacred than ‘Sex and the City.’ Now, new rumors are swirling that the smash HBO show and movie franchise could be hitting the big screen again — as a prequel starring Blake Lively.
Grazia magazine reports that ‘SATC’ creator Michael Patrick King has expressed interest in bringing Candace Bushnell’s Carrie Bradshaw-centered prequels to life. The books focus on Carrie’s teenage years in ‘The Carrie Diaries’ and her move from Connecticut to NYC in ‘Summer and the City.’
Though images of Sarah Jessica Parker & Co. gallavanting around Manhattan may be ingrained in our minds, studio execs are eyeing ‘Gossip Girl’s’ Lively to fill a younger Carrie’s Manolos. No word yet on who they are looking at for the rest of the gang.
