New York Democrat Rep. Ed Towns is holding an exclusive fundraiser later this month at a Lady Gaga concert in Washington, The Daily Caller has learned.

Tickets to watch the pop sensation belt out “Bad Romance” while rubbing elbows with Towns and his staff run for as much as $2,500 a pop. The proceeds from the Feb. 24 event will go toward his reelection campaign.

Towns, who first assumed office three years before Gaga was born, sits on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and was once chaired the Congressional Black Caucus.

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Angelina Germanotta, is no stranger politics. She helped Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid during the 2010 campaign to advocate for repealing the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy for gay military service members and Politics Daily columnist Suzi Parker once dubbed her “the Left’s answer to Sarah Palin.”

Gaga is originally from New York.
