A 14-year-old girl who police sources said hid her pregnancy from her mom triggered an NYPD investigation after a dead newborn was found in her bedroom.

Police said the Coney Island teen and her mother went to a hospital around 4 a.m. after the girl complained of heavy bleeding. A doctor at Coney Island Hospital determined the teen had recently given birth. The doctor called police.

Cops quizzed the girl and her mom, learning they lived at the Park West apartments on W. 31st St. When police got to the home around 5:50 a.m., they found a dead baby boy in a plastic bag behind the teen’s bed.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the baby was carried to full term. The medical examiner’s office scheduled an autopsy for Tuesday to determine how the baby died. Authorities will then decide whether the girl will face any charges.

Investigators didn’t know who fathered the baby, but police sources said the teen appears to have hidden her pregnancy from her family.

“We’re talking to her, but she is not being very cooperative,” one of the police sources said.
