In 2009 Kansas abortion doctor George Tiller was murdered and almost immediately some left-leaning media outlets pointed out how Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly had been on somewhat of a crusade against Tiller.

O’Reilly claimed that Tiller was providing late-term abortions, sometimes to underage females, and profiting off it. Almost two years later when criticizing O’Reilly, MSNBC and other news outlets still refer to O’Reilly’s crusade against Tiller, to the point of faulting him for Tiller’s murder. But on Thursday night’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” O’Reilly and his guest, host of FNC’s “America Live” Megyn Kelly, pushed back at those outlets for making Tiller out to be a “martyr.”

“Also, one more element in this that the audience should know,” O’Reilly said. “We have reported this story fairly here. Okay? We have reported it fairly. The assassination of Tiller – disgraceful, never should happen in America. But there are media organizations that are glorifying George Tiller, making him to be a martyr. It is disgusting.”

Kelly agreed with O’Reilly.

“It’s not right,” she said. “It’s not right what happened to him but it is not right to ignore what he was doing. I don’t care where you stand on abortion, whether you are pro-choice or pro-life.”

Kelly also pointed out his customers were young girls who were aborting 29, 28, 25-week old pregnancies.

“He became a multimillionaire doing it, a multimillionaire,” O’Reilly said. “That’s right, when you hear a media organization glorifying Tiller, just take note.”
