The economy vs. social issues?
For Republican voters, concerns about government spending and the business climate overwhelmingly trump social issues and moral values, a Gallup Poll finds.
Given a choice of four issues, 35% choose government spending and power as the most important concern, followed closely by the 31% who choose business and the economy. Social issues and moral values were chosen by 17%; national security and foreign policy by 15%.
