Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, in Iowa on Monday, had some advice for Mitt Romney, his former rival for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination.
“I think there’s a way out of his dilemma on the health care plan,” Huckabee told reporters when asked about the Massachusetts law before signing books for about 200 people in West Des Moines.
“That’s to say, that’s what states do. States try bold things. If they don’t work, the whole country hasn’t suffered,” Huckabee said. “What I don’t understand is why Obama would take a plan that didn’t work out like it’s supposed to and try to impose it on the rest of the 50 states.”
