Why is everybody getting so technical about the “Peace” part of “Nobel Peace Prize”?

I sure am glad we got rid of George Bush and elected a president who’s loved all over the world. It sure is nice how foreign leaders have stopped looking down on us and acting like they can tell us what to do. Those days are over!

Also, this is happening:

Nobel Committee asked to strip Obama of Peace Prize

The Bolivian President and a Russian political leader have launched a campaign to revoke Obama’s honour after the US attacked Libya.

Liberal Democratic Party of Russia leader and Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky released a statement today calling for the Nobel Prize Committee to take back the honour bestowed on US President Barack Obama in 2009.

Zhirinovsky said the attacks were “another outrageous act of aggression by NATO forces and, in particular, the United States,” and that the attacks demonstrated a “colonial policy” with “one goal: to establish control over Libyan oil and the Libyan regime.” He said the prize was now hypocritical as a result.

Now, I don’t care what the President of Bolivia says any more than you do. Vladimir Whonovsy? Neither do I care when other countries say they’re going to arrest Bush or Cheney or Rumsfeld or whoever. “We’re going to put you on trial for crimes against humanity!” Well, of course you are… It’s just hollow posturing.

But it sure is interesting to see it happening to The One, ain’t it?

Oh, and they happen to be right. He didn’t deserve that prize then, not having done anything to earn it, and he certainly doesn’t deserve it now, having proved that their trust in him was totally misplaced. Just add the Nobel Prize Committee to the long list of people he’s betrayed. Not that they’re going to take it from him, but he’s a fraud and everybody knows it.

Yes: even you.
