Thursday’s episode of NBC’s The Office seemed to reveal what many fans already know – Will Ferrell will spend a few weeks as the new boss at Dunder Mifflin, playing a character that will replace the hilariously clueless Michael Scott, currently played by Steve Carell.

While the episode laid the groundwork for Carell’s departure, a promo for the show’s next episode, scheduled to air April 14, officially revealed Ferrell’s entrance into the show. As Carell is reported to end his six-year run on April 28, he and Ferrell will interact in what is sure to be a treat for followers.

The two funnymen have previously worked together on the 2004 newsy comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

“We are proud to continue The Office’s tradition of discovering famous talent,” said castmate Paul Lieberstein, who plays Toby Flenderson, earlier this year. “And we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they’ll see what we see, tremendous raw sexuality.”
