The Blind Side star Lily Collins is the fairest one of all, at least according to Relativity Media, which gave her the role of Snow White for their upcoming remake of the Brothers Grimm story.
Variety reports that Collins, the daughter of singer Phil Collins, has sealed a deal to portray the damsel-in-distress Disney character in the movie’s untitled rehashing of the well-known fairy tale. The 22-year-old actress will work alongside Eat Pray Love star Julia Roberts, who has landed the role of the evil stepmother, and The Social Network stud Armie Hammer, who will play Snow White’s prince. Hammer jumped into the spotlight last year when he portrayed Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the Harvard University twins who claimed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg poached their website idea.
Us Weekly reports that the flick is a modern “action-comedy” version of the classic Snow White story.
Shooting is set to begin next month, and it’s planned to hit theaters on June 29, 2012.
Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has also scored the part of Snow White in a competing flick, Snow White and the Huntsman, with Monster star and Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron in the role of the jealous, murderous Evil Queen.
