The first picture of actress Julianne Moore portraying former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in “Game Change” has been released.
The Hollywood Reported posted the photograph on Wednesday, with Moore bearing a striking resemblance to the former Alaska governor. The actress sports Palin’s trademark bright red blouse, glasses and patriotic flag pin. For “Game Change,” the red-haired Academy Award-nominee abandoned her signature ginger locks to emulate brunette Palin.
Production for the HBO movie begins Wednesday. Ed Harris plays former presidential candidate John McCain and “Temple Grandin” star Melissa Farman has been cast as Bristol Palin, as first reported by the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.
The film is based on Heilemann and Mark Halperin’s book, “Game Change,” which follows the 2008 presidential cycle. Jay Roach is the flick’s director and Danny Strong wrote the script.
