Bristol Palin has blossomed since 2008, when, through no choice of her own, she stepped into the limelight for her mother Sarah’s vice presidential campaign. As a teenager, young Palin gave birth to Tripp, who would eventually appear in her Candies Foundation abstinence advertisement. She ranked third on last season’s “Dancing With the Stars,” promotes safe sex and abstinence, has a book slated to come out this summer, and has a new reality series with BIO Channel.

“Bristol is the kind of personality BIO is drawn to,” David McKillop, executive vice president of programming at A&E Network and BIO Channel, told Deadline. “Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years but this will be the first time she’s opening up her real life, with her son and her friends the Massey brothers.”

Before you tune in to her program, check out some photographs of the resilient 20-year-old below.
