A horrific tale of sexual abuse and torture spanning more than 15 years is detailed in a mountain of criminal charges filed this week against a western Wisconsin man.
The victim — a 19-year-old woman now living in the Sheboygan area — was brutally and repeatedly raped from age 4 until last Christmas, according to criminal complaints charging the man with 22 counts of sexual assault.
“The law enforcement personnel that are involved with this case — no matter what their tenure is — believe this to be the most severe case any of them have ever seen … from the length of time to the severity of the (sexual assaults),” said Capt. Dave Adams of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.
