Last week, it was reported that  ‘Kerry Campbell’ injected her eight-year-old daughter, Britney, with Botox to make her more competitive in beauty pageants and to “make her a star.” After the initial outrage,  it turned out Kerry Campbell was really Sheena Upton and the whole thing was really a hoax. Upton ultimately revealed that she was paid by The Sun, a London tabloid, and that the event was scripted.
But this is far from the only hoax that has fooled people on a large scale. Countless hoaxes have been attempted and many have succeeded. Take a look at some of the most noteworthy hoaxes that have fooled people over the decades.
