An unidentified drunk man died last week of an accidental stab wound after he dove into his hotel bed and landed on an upright knife placed there, according to The Houston Chronicle.
After stumbling into his Houston hotel room at 4 a.m. with two friends, he jumped onto the bed and landed on the blade, which was held upwards by the sheets. Paramedics rushed him to the Ben Taub hospital, but he died before receiving treatment.
A Harris County grand jury is currently examining evidence from the scene. No charges have been filed.
