An Oregon woman says she feels “disrespected” after police pulled her off an Amtrak designated quiet car, according to KOMO News in Seattle.

Lakeysha Beard staged a 16 hour cell phone conversation on the Coast Starlight during the ride from Los Angeles to Seattle, battling her phone’s battery power, periodic announcements reminding riders not to talk on call phones, withering glares from fellow passengers, a sore throat, thirst, and the stamina of the person on the other end of the line.

Numerous passengers complained about her conduct before one approached her, asking her to end her conversation. She reacted aggressively, prompting passengers to call police to escort her off the train.

Beard has been charged with disorderly conduct, and has declined to do any extensive interviews, explaining she doesn’t feel well.
