Even under the clutches of house arrest, Lindsay Lohan is still attempting to redeem her movie-star credentials.

This time, however, Lohan isn’t looking to the big screen for a breakout role. Instead, the disgraced actress stars as herself in a 90-second, 1960s-inspired art film.

In the film, which is titled “Transformed,” Lohan can be seen sporting a see-through white bikini while standing in a pool of water against the background of indie music.

The video continues to show a solemn-looking Lohan staring blankly off into the distance.

The film’s director, Richard Phillips, who is also a painter, told The New York Times Magazine that he had never made a video before. He also told The Times that Lohan’s personality intrigues him.

“She’s a combination of the fantastic and the real, which is what makes her so magnetic,” Phillips said. “She can also bring forward an existential presence that speaks to the isolated self.”

In the video, Phillips tries to bring out the quiet side of Lohan.

Phillips told The Times that the video could be considered a “new portraiture.”

Despite rumors of her inability to hold down a movie job because of a hardcore party lifestyle, Phillip said Lohan was professional during the video shoot.

“She showed up on time and worked an entire day, and hit every take on the money,” Phillips said to The New York Times.
