Alyssa Campanella was named Miss USA last night. She represented California.
The 5-foot-8 redhead (Campanella is actually blonde but openly admits to dying her hair) was favored to win the competition.
Campanella called herself a “huge history buff” and is “obsessed with the Tudor and Stuart era.”
Her final question from the judges was about the legalization of marijuana. She said that marijuana should only be legalized for medical use.
This is the fourth year the 60th annual pageant has been held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judges included Caroline Manzo of “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” chef Rocco DiSpirito, actress Mariel Hemingway, Dallas Mavericks player Tyson Chandler, and rapper Lil Jon.
