Palin to Iowa for film premiere

Sarah Palin is going to Iowa next week.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee who is considering a bid for president in 2012 will visit the first in the nation caucus state Tuesday for the premiere screening of The Undefeated, a film that chronicles her rise from obscurity to national prominence.

In a statement released through Victory Film Group, Palin said of her trip: “We are very excited to visit historic Pella and its opera house and look forward to seeing the finished film for the first time with fellow Americans from the heartland.”

The film begins its national rollout exclusively in AMC Theatres in 10 cities the week of July 15, according to the filmmaker. There are plans to take it nationwide.

As the 2012 Republican presidential field starts to solidify, Palin’s moves are closely being watched, especially when she visits a state, such as Iowa, that plays such a large role in the early stages of the nominating process.
