“Dancing with the Stars” finalist Bristol Palin says her mother Sarah Palin “definitely knows” whether she will seek 2012 presidency.

“She definitely knows,” Bristol Palin said during an appearance on Fox News that aired on Tuesday, adding that she would like to see her mom run for the position.

This news comes amidst rumors that Sarah’s “One Nation” bus tour points to a presidential run. Sarah, who has not yet announced whether she’ll run in another presidential election, is off to Iowa for a screening of “The Undefeated,” a political documentary that follows her political career.

After tonight’s viewing, SarahPAC reports that Sarah “heads to Minnesota to join her daughter Bristol at a book signing for Bristol’s new book ‘Not Afraid of Life’ at the Mall of America. Then back to Alaska for jury duty.”

Bristol, whose memoir “Not Afraid of Life” hit bookshelves last week, hit Daily Beast writer Meghan McCain for the second time.

“I just wanted to note that we come from two completely different worlds. Her dad’s a politician and my mom’s a politician, but that never defined me,” Bristol said of McCain, whose dad John ran for president in 2008 with Sarah as his running mate. “We don’t talk, we’re not friends, nothing like that.” (Bristol Palin slams McCain family in new memoir)

Bristol also questioned Meghan’s work experience.

“I’ve had a job since I was really little and, um, I don’t know if she does stuff like that,” Bristol said. “I don’t know if she goes out hunting and fishing and stuff like that.”

In her book, Bristol writes of John’s 26-year-old daughter, “Every time we saw Meghan, she seemed to be constantly checking us out, comparing my family to hers and complaining,” she writes. “Oh the complaining.”
