While it’s true that men still earn more than women in Hollywood, according to Forbes’ list of this year’s highest-paid actresses, female celebs aren’t exactly scrounging for change.

This year, two A-list actresses both earned $30 million and tied for the top spot. Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie and “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker tied for first place in the race for Hollywood’s wealthiest actress. Although their paychecks are identical, their resumes couldn’t be more different.

Mrs. Brad Pitt, Angelia Jolie, raked in an astounding $30 million this year primarily through the successes of her last two films: “Salt” and “The Tourist.” Action-packed “Salt” grossed an estimated $300 million at the box office, and the critically-panned flick “The Tourist” managed to bring in a whopping $280 million. Additionally, the mother of six wrote and directed the upcoming film, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” which hits theaters later this year.

Sarah Jessica Parker owes her first place spot to the show that made her a household name; “Sex and the City.” Parker earned the majority of her fortune from re-runs of the hit show that she both starred in and produced. The show’s second feature film earned an impressive $290 million at the box office, which also added to Parker’s massive paycheck. The blond, bubbly star has also become a fashion icon, and ranked in $18 million for her fragrance and clothing lines.
