As The Daily Caller was first to report, Rep. Michele Bachmann frequently suffers from severe migraine headaches.  The Republican presidential hopeful has resorted to heavy medication to ease the throbbing pain, but in extreme cases the relentless headaches have forced her to seek hospital treatment, and even caused her to miss a public engagement.

“When she gets ‘em, frankly, she can’t function at all. It’s not like a little thing with a couple Advils. It’s bad,” a Bachmann adviser told TheDC. “The migraines are so bad and so intense, she carries and takes all sorts of pills. Prevention pills. Pills during the migraine. Pills after the migraine, to keep them under control. She has to take these pills wherever she goes.”

However, Bachmann can take solace in the fact that she’s in rather good company. Many famous figures throughout history, ranging from Elvis Presley to Julius Caesar have been plagued by debilitating headaches. Take a look at the other notables who have suffered from a similar ailment while in the public eye.
