It would seem late July is the season for political ads featuring little girls.

On Wednesday, the Republican National Committee launched “Change Direction 4,” the final ad in its month-long series hitting President Barack Obama’s economic policies. The 30-second spot features a girl flipping to several TV news program on “January 20, 2017, the last day of Obama’s eight years as president.” What follows are images of American poverty and structural decay as the camera focuses on the poor girl’s eyes, much like the ad released today by conservative super-PAC American Crossroads.

As the girl stares at the glowing screen, the “News @ 8” program describes America’s eight years of unemployment, while the “News 1” anchor says “with debt to China reaching record levels, some analysts believe China has overtaken the United States” as members of the Chinese lawmakers applaud in the Great Hall of The People.

The 30-second spot will air in Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Florida and Virginia.
