Home values decline less steeply during spring quarter

The pace of home-value declines eased during the spring, but worries over the economy and high levels of foreclosures mean that the housing bottom is as elusive as ever.

U.S. home values fell by 0.4% in the second quarter from the previous quarter, the smallest quarterly decline in more than four years, according to a report to be released Tuesday by real-estate firm Zillow Inc.
