Love hurts, especially when you’re 26 years older than the girl of your dreams.

“Liar Liar” funnyman Jim Carrey seems to be in that boat: He uploaded a love letter in video format to “The Help” star Emma Stone on his personal website Wednesday. Though the comedian could very well have been joking, many have described the recording as uncomfortable and creepy.

“I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re all-the-way beautiful,” the 49-year-old Canadian tells the 22-year-old “Easy A” actress. “Not just pretty, but smart and kind-hearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you.”

Without a hint of sarcasm, Carrey claims he and Stone would have children, enjoy games, and have childlike fun and adventures. (RELATED: Owl City singer to Taylor Swift: ‘I was so in love with you’)

“We would have chubby little freckle-faced kids, we’d laugh all day long, go camping and play Yahtzee,” Carrey says. “Tell ghost stories by the fire.”

The video gets especially odd when Carrey says “and the sex [we’d have]?” and shakes his head and rolls back his eyes.

Carrey snaps back to reality when he acknowledges that he’s much older than Stone, who is reportedly dating “Amazing Spider-Man” co-star Andrew Garfield.

“Every day for the rest of your life, you would thank God that I was the appropriate age for you. But I’m not. I’m 49,” Carrey said. “I have lines on my face, sometimes a little grey in my beard, and it takes me a little longer to pee than it used to. Those are the only discernible signs of aging that I can find so far.”

The actor finished out the video by explaining that he just needed to put his true feelings for Stone out in the open.

“I just wanted to let you know how I felt,” Carrey said. “You’re pretty special, and I wish you continued success and artistic fulfillment, but most of all, I wish you love and contentment. That’s all.”

While “Mr. Popper’s Penguin” star Carrey’s career peaked in the 90s, Stone is in the midst of her Hollywood glory days. The young Arizona native starred in two major summer blockbusters, “Crazy, Stupid, Love” and “The Help,” which dominated the box office last weekend.
