If your name is Zoe (any spelling variation), you’re sure to lead an adventurous life, especially if you happen to be big name celebrity Zooey Deschanel or Jersey girl Zoe Saldana. Both star in movies that debuted Friday.
In “Colombiana,” Saldana plays a young female who witnessed her parents’ murder and grows up to be an assassin. The action flick ranked second at the box office over the weekend, three spots ahead of comedy-drama “Our Idiot Brother,” which casts Deschanel as somewhat of a “commitmentphobe.” The films differ in content, but these two actresses shine nonetheless.
