Winn-Dixie slumps on earnings after big day

On a day when it rose 15% during regular trading hours, Winn-Dixie (WINN) posted disappointing fourth quarter earnings after the closing bell and saw some of those gains get eaten away. Shares fell 5% in after hours trading.

Winn-Dixie posted 13 cents of EPS, a penny better than expectations. Net sales of $1.6 billion were in line with expectations. Same-store sales rose 3.2% year over year. Basket size grew 3.9%, but transaction count decreased by 0.7%. For the full year, same store sales slipped 0.1%.
