CNN’s prime time lineup just got a new leading lady. Erin Burnett, previously with CNBC, is scheduled to take over CNN’s 7:00 p.m. weekday slot with her new show “Erin Burnett OutFront.” The show will bump “John King USA” to 6:00 p.m.

Burnett has had an interesting rise to journalism success. Starting her career as a Goldman Sachs analyst, she went into news initially as a CNN writer and guest booker. She has also worked for Citigroup media and Bloomberg News.

Most recently, Burnett was the host of CNBC’s “Street Signs” and the co-anchor of “Squawk on the Street,” where ratings outstripped expectations.

Get a look at Erin Burnett’s on-screen career so far. CNN is hoping she’ll make even a die-hard Fox News watcher dust off the remote control after dinner.
