Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren started a tiff during a Tuesday night debate when she said she “kept [her] clothes on” when she was in college. Republican Senator Scott Brown, whom Warren hopes to replace, famously posed semi-nude in Cosmopolitan magazine while he was a law student.

Responding Thursday on WZLX radio’s Karlson and McKenzie show, Senator Brown said, “Thank God.” WZLX is a Boston-based rock music station.

“I didn’t go to Harvard,” Brown added. “I went to a school of hard knocks and I did whatever I had to do to pay for school.”

Warren attended George Washington University and the University of Houston, and then Rutgers Law School. Warren teaches at Harvard Law.

During the WZLX interview, Brown re-iterated his support and endorsement of Mitt Romney for president, saying Romney was “someone who could make the tough decisions and get us out of the funk that we’re in.”
