Keeping in line with his character, or perhaps just trying to prove to the world that he is a great method actor, the young man who played notorious Hogwarts bully Vincent Crabbe has been arrested for attempting to detonate a homemade bomb during the London riots in August.

The actor, 22-year-old Jamie Waylett, was armed with a Molotov cocktail gasoline bomb while looting Champagne from a drug store on August 8.  He was arrested September 20 after police identified him using video footage.

This former child actor is being charged under the Criminal Damage Act for having “explosives in [his] custody or under [his] control,” and is also facing charges for handling stolen goods and violent disorder.

During their investigation, police found 15 marijuana plants in Waylett’s home, for which he could face a 14-year sentence.

This is not Waylett’s first run-in with authorities. He was previously arrested for growing 10 marijuana plants, and sentenced to 120 hours of community service.

After the arrest, Waylett was released on bail, but is scheduled to appear in court next month.

As of press time, it is undetermined whether or not his wand has been taken away.
