Rick Perry prepping to run an ‘insurgent’ campaign against Romney

Rick Perry is shaking things up. He hasn’t dispatched his Texas advisers, but he has reassembled most of Florida Governor Rick Scott’s old campaign team.

Expect them to be aggressive and creative.

As you might recall, it was Scott — then merely a candidate running in the GOP gubernatorial primary — who first ran TV ads about President Obama’s defense of the Mosque near ground zero.

As one operative who has worked with the team in the past told me: “I believe they might be the best in the game at working with insurgent or anti-establishment operations which would be especially useful in a run against Romney.”
