The Grinch and Frosty out of work this season? Elves “occupying” the North Pole?

Two videos released Wednesday by conservative groups use these themes to illustrate dissatisfaction with unemployment numbers and mock the Occupy Wall Street movement.

ForAmerica, a conservative online powerhouse, created a video of a mock news segment reporting on a fictitious Occupy North Pole movement.

In the YouTube video, protesting elves call for Santa to step down. “I wish I only had to work one day a year,” whines one of Santa’s helpers.

“We can only hope that Santa will open up his heart, stop discriminating against naughty children, polar bears and others,” the tongue-in-cheek message concludes, “and realizes that he is putting Christmas at risk for everyone.”

The College Republican National Committee has weighed in with its own video, capturing the dire unemployment situation of classic Christmas characters like the Grinch and Frosty the Snowman.

The video ends with the message to “Vote Conservative.”
