Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte on his side. Texas Gov. Rick Perry has “America’s Toughest Sheriff” Joe Arpaio. And now Newt Gingrich has Gary Busey.
The former Celebrity Apprentice contestant, sometime actor, and full-time crazy person said he is endorsing the former Speaker of the House as the 2012 Republican nominee.
The Hill first reported that Busey said, “I’ve never met Newt but I know what he stands for.”
Although Busey is a native Texan, he does not think Gov. Rick Perry is conservative enough on immigration.
