Battle of the nerds: Who created ‘Avatar’?

The sci-fi nerds are coming out of the woodwork.

Acclaimed director James Cameron faces a third lawsuit by a screenwriter who claims the “Terminator” director stole his idea for “Avatar,” TMZ reports.

Bryant Moore, a science-fiction writer, says that two of his original screenplays were used as the basis for the 2009 Academy Award-winning animated film.

“Avatar” is the highest grossing film of all time, earning $2.58 billion worldwide.

Bryant’s claims follow a lawsuit filed by another screenwriter who alleges the futuristic world of Pandora was his idea. And yet another woman claims that the idea came from a sci-fi novel she wrote. (RELATED: Disney to open ‘Avatar’-themed areas at amusement parks)
