The mayor of an Alabama city used his .38-caliber pistol to keep at bay an intruder who claimed to be sent from God, according to local news reports.
Mayor Sam Jones of Mobile, Ala. on Tuesday night pulled his gun on a shirtless 47-year-old man he found inside his garage, the Press-Register newspaper reported.
The newspaper reported that the intruder told Jones that he was at his house because “the Lord sent” him and he thought he was at Jesus’ house. (SEE ALSO: GUNS AND GEAR)
Jones held the man — identified as James Harvey Wilkerson of Mississippi — until police arrived.
