On this weekend’s “Inside Washington,” columnist for the Washington Post Charles Krauthammer said that freshman Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio would be the eventual running mate of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Rubio, however, has insisted on numerous occasions that he will not be a candidate for vice president of the United States, but that isn’t stopping the pundits from making that prediction.
Krauthammer’s Post colleague Colby King, Politico’s Evan Thomas and Bloomberg’s Jeannie Cummings all agreed with his prognostication.
The lone dissenter on the “Inside Washington” panel was Creators Syndicate columnist Mark Shields. He predicted the ticket would be Romney with Ohio Republican Sen. Rob Portman as his running mate.
