The final installment of Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” franchise won’t premiere until July 19, but tickets for opening night have already sold out, the website /Film reported.
More than seven months before the film’s opening, Batman fans scooped up tickets to midnight showings of “The Dark Knight Rises” in New York City and Los Angeles.
Some tickets went on sale when a six-minute prologue of the film premiered before “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” showings in December. (RELATED: Batman takes on his darkest villain yet: Occupy protesters [VIDEO])
Fandango also capitalized on the early sales by opening up ticket sales this Monday.
