With America’s big football weekend fast approaching a new survey has asked: “What would you miss to go see your favorite team play in the Super Bowl?”

According to the findings, much.

Twenty-three percent of respondents would miss a vacation, 21 percent would miss “an important work responsibility,” 20 percent would skip a close friend or family member’s wedding, 19 percent would miss a loved one’s funeral and 15 percent would miss the birth of their own child.

The survey was conducted online by Harris Interactive on behalf of CouponCabin, a leading online coupon hub, in America, from January 9–11, 2012 among 2,625 adults ages 18 and older.

CouponCabin further noted that this year 56 percent of American adults say they will watch the Super Bowl — 67 percent of men will be watching, compared to 46 percent of women.

Additionally, 37 percent said the number one reason they will watch is for the commercials and a third said they will watch because for the Super Bowl parties.
