The singer is in talks with Paramount Pictures to film a documentary-style film in the vein of Justin Bieber’s popular concert doc, “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,” Billboard reports.
The movie about the Biebs grossed $71 million in the U.S. — a domestic record for a concert movie.
Paramount is eager to mimic the success of “Never Say Never,” this time with Perry at the forefront. Both sides are still in negotiations, and no director is in place.
We don’t think movie theaters will struggle selling a movie featuring Perry’s “California Gurls” in 3-D.
