Conservative media mogul Andrew Breitbart told The Daily Caller on Thursday that the Obama administration’s recent clashes with the Catholic Church are “a form of thuggery” against religious Americans.

“I believe that while experiencing a class warfare in this country — where the president has been doing it for years and people denied it, and now he’s finally stated even in the State of the Union that it is class warfare, there’s a cultural warfare component to it — that political correctness, the left’s Marxist ideals, insist upon diminishing the value of religion and Judeo-Christian values,” Breitbart said during an interview at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. Breitbart added that he believes liberals are targeting conservatives and religious people in a multi-pronged culture war. The Obama administration’s fight with the Catholic Church over contraception, he said, combined with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure war with Planned Parenthood, are just two connected examples of the professional left’s war on American values.

“I don’t look at the Komen situation, or the contraception issue — I don’t look as these as isolated,” he said. “I look at them as a conscious strategy to diminish religious liberties in this country.”

Breitbart also said that unbiased journalists understand why Attorney General Eric Holder should resign his office. The facts of Operation Fast and Furious alone, he said, are enough to force the nation’s top law-enforcement official out of office.

“I’m just a neutral journalist, but I think any neutral journalist who’s looked at the facts thinks he should resign,” he told TheDC.
