Six-year-old Avalanna Routh, who has been battling a rare form of cancer called an Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor for most of her life, had a Valentine’s dream come true, spending all day Monday with her “husband” and idol Justin Bieber.
Last year the Jimmy Fund gave Routh a pretend marriage to the teen idol, granting her the title “Mrs. Bieber.” (RELATED: More on Justin Bieber)
When asked how long she’s loved Bieber, the six-year-old responded, “Seven years. No, eighty. Eighty years.”
Family and friends used Facebook in hopes to arrange a meeting between Bieber and his biggest fan.
WHDH-TV in Boston profiled Routh and, to her joy, Bieber was watching. The pop star flew her and her family to New York for a Valentine’s visit.
The pair played board games and signed autographs for each other, and “Mrs. Bieber” got to style Mr. Bieber’s hair.
Bieber took to Twitter after their meeting and got #MrsBieber trending. “That was one of the best things I’ve ever done. She was AWESOME! Feeling really inspired now.”
Another tweet, with a photo of the two, simply read “best part of my day.” (RELATED: Check out TheDC’s entertainment section)
