The Lenten season is upon us. That means millions of people will attempt to sacrifice drinking, smoking or eating cheeseburgers for the next 40 days and 40 nights. It is the perfect time to start a diet, because giving up fast food is very similar to what Jesus did (See: First Corinthians 15: 3,4.)
But instead of forcing your friends and loved ones to listen to you complain about not being able to drink beer from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, why not just quit while you are ahead?
Here are 10 things that you should just not even attempt to give up for Lent. (That being said, if you are planning on giving up any of these things, you can definitely do it — it’s just five and half weeks!)
