Patricia Heaton insults Sandra Fluke on Twitter, apologizes, deletes account

Patricia Heaton had a lot to say about the raging birth control debate in Washington last week, until she had nothing to say at all.

One of Hollywood’s outspoken Republicans, the Everybody Loves Raymond star sent a series of blistering messages aimed at Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown student who was denied the right to testify before Congress and then became the target of Rush Limbaugh’s flurry of mysognistic name calling.

Heaton mocked Fluke with sarcastic remarks such as “G-Gal: you’ve given yer folks great gift for Mother’s/Father’s Day! Got up in front of whole world & said I’m having tons of sex- pay 4 it!” and “Hey G-Town: stop buying toothpaste, soap, and shampoo! You’ll save money, and no one will want to sleep with you!”
