Pollster Scott Rasmussen told The Daily Caller Wednesday that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is “not going to win” and “needs to assess his role in the Republican Party.”

Rasmussen spoke at The Heritage Foundation about his new book, “The People’s Money: How Voters Will Balance the Budget and Eliminate the Federal Debt,” and told TheDC that although Mitt Romney looks poised to win the Republican nomination, it’s not a done deal. “Romney is still the favorite to win the nomination. He’s like a baseball team with a big lead in the sixth inning, but he can still blow it,” said Rasmussen.
