Nike presented each of the 32 teams in the NFL with brand new jerseys in New York City on Tuesday. To many fans’ disappointment, the jerseys remained largely unchanged from previous years when the contract belonged with Reebok.
Now that Nike reportedly inked a $1.1 billion contract to design NFL jerseys, the athletic apparel giant was limited to the NFL’s strict rules regarding uniform alterations. NFL teams are prohibited from making design changes to their uniforms more than once every five years.
Although most of the jerseys are underwhelming, here are five jerseys that will standout going into the 2012 season:
