The message from national Republicans in 2010 was “Fire Nancy Pelosi.”

It’s now “Stop Nancy Now” from returning as speaker of the House.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) launched StopNancyNow.com this week, The Daily Caller has learned. NRCC spokesman Gerrit Lansing said the site went live on Monday.

At this point, the website focuses on the special Arizona election slated for June to replace Democratic Rep. Gabby Giffords, who is resigning from Congress as she recovers from an assassination attempt that nearly killed her in 2011.

Facing off in the election is Giffords aide Ron Barber, a Democrat, and Iraq War veteran Jesse Kelly, a Republican.

The NRCC launched the website focusing on the Arizona special election after the Democrat-leaning super PAC House Majority PAC announced plans to spend more than $300,000 on TV ads in support of Barber.

“Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama are trying to buy a congressional seat in southern Arizona’s special election — putting Nancy one step closer to being speaker of the House again,” the NRCC website reads.
