Looks like the environment and the evils of oil have not been the only thing on former Vice-President Al Gore’s mind.
Almost two years after splitting from his wife of 40 years, Gore has apparently found another lady.
According to The Washington Post, Gore, 63, is now dating 50-something environmentalist and Democratic donor, Elizabeth Keadle.
Fortunately for America, it is unlikely that the pair will share a public tongue-wrestling session in the near future. Gore, while separated, remains legally married to wife, Tipper. Further Keadle maintains a very low profile sans social media accounts or gossip column mentions.
In June 2010 Al and Tipper Gore announced their separation in an email to friends.
“This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration,” the couple — who share four children — wrote. “We ask for respect for our privacy and that of our family, and we do not intend to comment further.”
The Post reports that this January the Gore and Keadle took a climate-change awareness trip to Antarctica with “experts” and notables such as Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, singer Jason Mraz, and actor Tommy Lee Jones.
In 2004 Keadle and her ex-husband, biotech entrepreneur Lyle Turner invested in Gore’s Current TV.
